Hawaii: Oahu

IMG_0877*Halekulani:  What can I say.  This is a beautiful hotel.  The service was impeccable the whole way through the trip.  We ate at House Without a Key on one of the nights and watched the sunset.  (The food was pretty good.)  The views from our room were good, even at a partial view.  The room was modern, yet comfortable (unlike a very modern hotel we stayed at the Hong Kong airport.)  Everything felt luxurious…

*Visit a Mac nut farm… (Yes.  I like going out to these farms.  It’s silly but I just love the nuts so much that one has to pay homage.)

*Share dim sum in Chinatown area of Honolulu.  (When we went, it was bustling – loud, noisy, carts… just like LA.)

*Pearl Harbor memorial:  Even when you think you have gotten there early, there’s a long line.  It’s worth it but still a long line.

*Honolulu’s aquarium:  really fun
